On July 9, 2025, Western Carolina University’s College of Business, NCA&T & N.C. Cooperative Extension, hosted a community outreach program to share tools for secure land management for agricultural producers. The program explored how to avoid involuntary property loss and preserve family land for generations. Presentations discussed heirs’ property & genealogy, clearing title & land transfers, agricultural mediation & farm succession facilitation services, hurricane recovery, including funding & taxes, along with voluntary carbon markets. The participants thank the USDA for providing its support for this program to share valuable tools for NC landowners and agricultural producers!
