FARMVA mediator, Judith Ogden, is attending the Virginia Mediation Network 2022 Fall Conference to share the mediation process with the Virginia agricultural and mediation community.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cullowhee, NC \u2013 September 13, 2022 \u2013 Judith Ogden, Mediation Director for the Farm Agricultural Resources and Mediation of Virginia (FARMVA,) will be speaking at the Virginia Mediation Network 2022 Fall Conference,\u00a0\u201cRising to the Challenge in a Changing Environment,\u201d hosted in Staunton, Virginia, on September 17, 2022, from 2:00-3:30 pm in Salon B.<\/p>\n

The 2022 Fall Conference will consist of various speakers who will host professional development sessions on alternative dispute and conflict resolution. There will be six in-person sessions on September 17, and the remainder of the conference will be virtual from September 19-23. Ogden will speak about Family Farm Succession, the program’s history, opportunities to become involved, and how the Farm Succession Program works.<\/p>\n

Ogden completed her certification for Certified Farm Succession Coordinator (CFSC) through the International Farm Transition Network (IFTN) in February 2022. The CFSC Training focuses on succession planning, which includes management transfer, inheritance issues, and strengthening interpersonal communication skills.
