The CFC is pleased to welcome returning Faculty Fellows Resa Chandler, Chad Hallyburton, Darby Harris for the 2025-26 academic year, and Alesia Jennings for Fall 2025. In addition to the returning Faculty Fellows, the CFC is excited to announce the addition of <\/span><\/span>Aaron Ratcliffe to the team of Faculty.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Resa Chandler<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is a fourth-year CFC Faculty Fellow for the design and implementation of faculty mentoring<\/span> progr<\/span>ams<\/span>. After researching successful faculty mentoring models, Resa launched CFC\u2019s inaugural <\/span>2024-2025 <\/span>Faculty Mentoring Learning Community for new faculty<\/span>. <\/span>Resa is <\/span>an <\/span>A<\/span>ssociate <\/span>P<\/span>rofessor in the School of Teaching and Learning<\/span> and is in h<\/span>er <\/span>ninth y<\/span>ear<\/span> teaching Exercise Physiology at <\/span>WCU<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Chad Hallyburton<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a> is a second-year Faculty Fellow with the CFC, partnering with April Tallant on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. His teaching background focuses on infectious disease and public health, and he and his undergraduate research students study factors <\/span>impacting<\/span> vaccine decision-making in the healthcare fields and elsewhere. Chad is a Teaching Assistant Professor in the College of Health and Human Science.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Darby Harris<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a> is a second-year Faculty Fellow with the CFC, partnering with April Tallant on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. <\/span>He is a member of the Biology Department and teaches a wide variety of courses from human genetics to plant molecular biology.<\/span> One of his primary responsibilities is to develop and implement the cell and molecular biology laboratory curriculum, where he strives to engage students in a collaborative and intentional learning environment.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Alesia Jennings<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a> is joining us for her fourth year as a Faculty Fellow. Alesia partners with Anabel Livengood on Faculty Forward, workshops designed to enhance teaching self-efficacy for faculty new to WCU. The design of their workshop series was presented at two conferences and has been published. Alesia Jennings is in her twelfth year of teaching Chemistry and University Experience courses at WCU.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
