Nancy “Susan” Southard a long time resident of Black Mountian NC passed away on 23 September 2023. Susan, retired from the NC Dept of Human Resources, Graduate of Western Carolina University with her Masters of Arts in Education. Born in Boone NC, raised in Dahlonega GA. Susan loved her dogs, the lake, traveling, and was an accomplished painter, florist & member of the Red Hat Society. Proceeded in death by her parents Dr. Orby and Irene Southard. Survived by loving cousins and friends.
