Onieda “Nada” Meadows
Onieda ” Nada ” J. Meadows, 60, of Sylva, gained her wings on July 30, 2024.
Nada was the daughter of Johnny Houston and Helen Broom, but there was a special place in her heart for Dallas Parker, the man who raised her. She was also reunited in Heaven with brother Dean Parker. A graduate of Western Carolina University, she obtained a BSSW and served the community as a dedicated social worker.
Nada was known for her outgoing personality; she was a fun-loving person who never met a stranger. Her love for God and her family was endless. Never would she turn down her grandbabies the opportunity to play. Onieda’s loved ones are devastated by the loss of their beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend, the ultimate caregiver.
Left to cherish Nada ’s memory are her husband Michael Meadows, daughters Fallon Goodson and Keria Wade, sons Rick Seay and Ryan Jones, grandchildren Alex, Jacob, Tanner, Grey, Chase, Zachery and Landon. In addition, Onieda leaves behind sisters Vicky Ferguson, Frankie Mason and Laura Marshall.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial donations may be made to Sheppard Chapel.
Arrangements are in the care of Appalachian Funeral Services.
