Jason was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL to Michael and Marilyn Mackel on February 6, 1975. He married Senta Monet (Culp) Mackel on May 15, 2000. He graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He worked for Nokia in the telecommunications sector for over 12 years. Jason was a brilliant, generous and committed soul who gave selflessly to all who knew him. He was a devoted husband, father and friend, he was especially proud of his daughter Jaiden, who recently graduated FSU and is applying to law school. He was the center of the universe to his wife, daughter and family and a best friend to many. Jason was an avid fisherman, loved following his sister and husband’s racehorses, playing racquet ball, shooting, history, traveling and any adventure with his wife, daughter, family and many friends. He was a man who would do anything for his loved ones. It’s impossible to put into words how much he meant to so many and how deeply he will be missed but forever remembered for his kindness, wisdom and unwavering love in addition to his incredibly onery side and Jason’isms. He will forever be our hero and remembered as someone who gave everything to his family, who loved with a full heart and never hesitated to be there when we needed him.
Jason is survived by his wife Senta Mackel, daughter Jaiden Mackel, brother David Mackel (Allison Mackel), sisters Marissa Lord (Justin Lord), and Morgan Joseph (Saffe Joseph Jr.), his parents Michael and Marilyn Mackel. His nephews, Rocco Joseph and Atwood Lord, his Nieces Ava Mackel, Alea Mackel, Sienna Joseph and Evelyn Lord whom he loved so very much. He has an Aunt Beverly Mackel who lives locally as well as relatives in TX and Chicago area.
