Amethyst T. PrivettĀ

Our hearts are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Amethyst Tiffany Green Privett on Thursday, November 28, 2024.
She was born in the summer season of June 12, 1988, in Haywood County. Through our tears we celebrate and honor the life of Amethyst, a precious gem in our lives, whose love and brilliance, much like the beautiful stone namesake, shone brightly and touched the hearts of everyone around her during her life of 36 years.

Amethyst was taken from us too soon, but her legacy of kindness and compassion will forever remain etched in our hearts. She grew up amidst the mountains of Haywood County where she was nurtured by the love of her family all throughout her life. She began her education at Bethel Elementary School, where she participated in youth basketball, and continued to Pisgah High School, where she graduated in 2006 with a heart full of dreams and aspirations.
Amethyst’s pursuit of knowledge led her to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Business Law. It was her caring heart that guided her onward to a career in healthcare. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, she was planning to begin working as a unit coordinator at Mission Hospital.
All throughout her life, Amethyst was blessed with many friends who loved her dearly, especially her best friend Adrienne, who had been her childhood friend since they were young babies. Amethyst brought light and joy into the lives around her, with a beautiful smile that could brighten even the darkest days.
In the loving words of her mother, “We always told Amethyst she could do anything she wanted to do.” She indeed lived up to those words, facing life with grace and determination, always striving to make the world a better place.

Amethyst held a strong faith. She was a member of East Fork Baptist Church, where she had been a member of the children’s choir when she was younger. She was blessed with an amazing voice and she truly enjoyed music and singing heartfelt solos.
Most importantly, Amethyst loved her family with all her heart and soul. Her precious little son Roman was her pride and joy and she centered her life around him. Though Amethyst has left us, her light will forever continue to shine, like the beautiful stars in the heavenly sky, always watching over us.
Rest in peace our beloved Amethyst, you will never ever be forgotten.
