Jennifer B. Williamson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jennifer Bowers Williamson on March 14, 2025, inĀ Clyde, North Carolina. She was born on May 31, 1969, in Miami, Florida. Jennifer was predeceased by her father, Donald William Bowers and survived by her mother Patricia Jean Bowers.
Jennifer is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Danny Williamson, and her daughters, Colbie Williamson (Asher Boyd) and Rylee Williamson (Robby Black). She also leaves behind her siblings, Jill Gonzalez (Robert), John Bowers (Donna), and Suzanne Bowers, along with her beloved pets, Brady, Ruby, and Moose. Jennifer’s academic journey was one of determination and excellence. She graduated from Cooper City High School, in Cooper City, Florida, where she ran on the track and cross-country team. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Health Education from Appalachian State University, in Boone, North Carolina on a track and cross-country scholarship. She then graduated with a Master’s degree in Physical Education from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina. Jennifer’s dedication to education spanned an impressive 30 years as an educator at Canton Middle School. She was not only a teacher but also a track and cross-country coach, inspiring countless young athletes. Her energy and passion for teaching had a lasting impact on her students and colleagues.

Jennifer was a vibrant and energetic spirit, known for her wit and strength. She is widely known for her love of sports and was a dedicated Miami Dolphins fan. She also loved vacationing at the beach with family and friends. Jennifer’s spirit will forever be remembered through the lives she touched, the students she inspired, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and dedication will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
