Sharon J. Bryson

Sharon J. Bryson, 83, of Arden, NC, peacefully entered her heavenly home on October 21, 2025, at 10:10 p.m from the Elizabeth House in Hendersonville due to a brain bleed.

Born and raised in Murphy, NC, Sharon lived a life marked by compassion, faith, and service. She graduated from Western Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She dedicated over 25 years of her career to Henderson County DSS, where she served and advocated for the older community with deep care and respect.

Sharon accepted Christ as her Savior in April of 1980 at Trinity Baptist Church. She faithfully attended church, served and worshipped God for His faithfulness to her. She was involved in a ladies prayer group where she learned how to faithfully and boldly pray for others. For the past seven years, she has been a cherished member of Tabernacle of Praise in Fletcher. She continued to grow & develop her relationship with Christ and shared her knowledge of His amazing grace with others. She also enjoyed attending MRLEC weekly, where she built lasting friendships.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hal and Helen Bryson and her brother Gary.

Sharon was a devoted mother and grandmother whose faith and love shaped generations. She was a hero to her two children, Brad Hensley and wife, Raeann and Beth Lindgren and husband, Brent. She was a proud and loving “Nan” to her three grandchildren, Taylor, Breanna and husband, Austin and Branson and great-granddaughter, Emma. She also adored her grand-dog, Dolly and held a special place in her heart for her late grand-dog, Waylon.

Sharon’s legacy is one of strength, independence, generosity and unwavering faith. Though she will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing she is now truly living the grace life in heaven with Jesus.

A Celebration of Life was held at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 25, 2025 in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with the Reverend Robert Cuevas officiating. Interment was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
