Lynn G. Huffling

Lynn Gayle Huffling, age 79, of Lake Wylie, SC, died Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Levine and Dickson Hospice House, in Charlotte, NC, she resided in Lake Wylie since 1985. She was born on May 28th, 1946, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to the late Mary Louise Myrick and Albert Pennington Hyde. Ms. Huffling graduated from Western Carolina University, Cullowhee, NC, in June 1966 with a Bachelor of Business degree. She worked for many years for J.A. Jones Architects and Builders Inc. in the Accounting Department.

Ms. Huffling is survived by her brother Wilson P. Hyde and his wife Pat, of Williamsburg, VA; her son Michael Ervin, and his wife, Betty, of Norfolk, VA; and her granddaughter, Carolynn Ervin of Norfolk, VA. Ms. Huffling attended Christ the King Lutheran Church in Charlotte, NC where she fellowshipped with many members of the Lutheran Congregation. She had a fond love of Christ and serving her community with her dearest friend Kathy Clinton. The family wishes to convey their appreciation and extend their thanks to the Personnel at Visiting Angels, Levine and Dickson Hospice House, and countless Doctors and Support staff. At Ms. Huffling’s request, there will be no service.

In lieu of Flowers, as a mark of respect to Ms. Huffling, the family invites you to honor their passion for National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. or the Atrium Health Foundation Cancer Causes by giving monetary gifts.
