A native of Alabama, he lived in Waynesville prior to moving to Charlotte. He is the son of John and Claire Johnson Stoeckel.<\/p>\n<p>Tim graduated from Lee County High School in 2005. He was very active in the Drama program, was a Thespian and won several awards. He also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Tim earned a bachelor&#8217;s degree in drama from Western Carolina University in 2011. He performed at HART Theater. Tim was a member of First United Methodist Church, Waynesville. He worked in the hospitality industry at several country clubs.<\/p>\n<p>He enjoyed being a jokester, acting, singing, traveling and most of all was an amazing father.<\/p>\n<p>Tim is survived by his wife of eleven years Rene Van Der Watt Stoeckel; two daughters, Quinn Stoeckel and Kennedy Stoeckel; grandmother, Nancy Love (Doyle) from Alabama; In-laws, Gideon and Cheryl Van Der Watt from South Africa; two sisters, Nina Butler (Dan) from England and Kellie Blount (Andrew) from Alabama.<\/p>\n<p>A Celebration of Life will be held at First United Methodist Church, Waynesville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024, with Reverend Keith Turman officiating.
