This scholarship honors the memory of Zachary Schneider, a 2023 graduate of Western Carolina University who passed away on August 17, 2024. Raised in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Zack was a lifelong learner and creative individual. His passion for the arts led him to earn multiple degrees from Coastal Carolina Community College before continuing his education at WCU, earning a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Art. Zack participated in many art gallery shows and contributed as an Exhibit Assistant at the Bardo Arts Center. As a nontraditional student and a scholarship recipient himself, Zack deeply believed in the transformative power of artistic expression. This scholarship aims to continue his legacy by supporting students in their creative pursuits.<\/p>\n
Thank you all who supported and loved Zack through his life. Zack\u2019s presence will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May we all strive to accept others as Zack did\u2014with kindness, understanding, and love.<\/p>\n
