A memorial service will be held at Grace Community Church, 643 West Gate City Blvd., in Greensboro, at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024.<\/p>\n
Marsha was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority while attending Western Carolina University earning her Bachelor\u2019s degree in Education. She later earned her Master\u2019s degree in Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Marsha retired from the education field after teaching in North Carolina and Texas. As a devoted member of Grace Community Church, she served as a Stephen\u2019s Minister in addition to contributing and volunteering at many other civic organizations. She took great joy in working with those in need through her concentrated efforts with Greensboro Urban Ministry, Hannah\u2019s Haven, and Step Up Greensboro. Marsha will always be remembered for her kindness, beautiful smile, and her commitment to her faith.<\/p>\n
Left to cherish her memory are her son, John McGinnis, along with her daughter-in-law Rebecca McGinnis of Jamestown, and her Grandchildren Anna and Isaac McGinnis; her sister, Maureen Wade (husband, Steve) of Panama City, FL and brother Marvin Cope (wife, Brynn) of Livermore, CA and many loving nieces and nephews and friends.
