The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall.<\/p>\n<p>Born on February 17th, 1935, to Dessie Revis and Asbury Wellington Jamerson, Eileen was raised in the mountains of Western North Carolina in and around the Mars Hill and Forks of Ivy communities.\u00a0 A graduate of Mars Hill Junior College and Western Carolina University, she moved to Laurinburg in 1956 where she spent close to forty years teaching fourth and fifth grade students at Central and Covington Street Schools and then with the Richmond Community College Adult Education Program.<\/p>\n<p>She was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Laurinburg where she sang in the choir, was actively involved in the Ruth Sunday School Class, and served as a deacon.\u00a0 Over the years, she was involved in volunteering with Meals on Wheels, singing at various community events with the Melancholy Babies, and playing bridge with wonderful friends.<\/p>\n<p>Always committed to family, Eileen devoted herself to visiting and keeping close ties with her family in the mountains. She was an incredibly supportive mother and grandmother and made intentional efforts to be present at her children and grandchildren\u2019s various activities, from dance recitals to sporting events to academic celebrations. She had a keen eye for fashion and an unwavering taste for chocolate; she had a beautiful smile, a fun-loving spirit, and a kind and generous heart. She is already greatly missed.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James Aubry Graham, Jr; her brothers Kyle, Coy, Grey, Don, Bruce, and Kermit Jamerson; her sisters Vera Rice, Marie Jamerson, and Genevieve \u201cJohnnie\u201d Clay; and son-in-law Barry Scott Lingafelt.\u00a0 She is survived by her son James (Claire) Wellington Graham, Sr. of Laurinburg; her daughter Lynn Graham Lingafelt of Raleigh; her six adoring grandchildren:\u00a0 Susannah (Clayton) Graham, Wells (April) Graham, Aubry Graham, Luke (Molly) Lingafelt, Sarah (Nick) Robison, and Philip Lingafelt; her two great-grandchildren, Maggie and Parker Lingafelt; sisters-in-law Carolyn Jamerson and Nell Lyon, and many loving nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>The family wishes to extend gratitude to her special caregiver Marie C.
