She attended Cane River High School in Burnsville, NC where she met the love of her life, William Samuel \u201cSam\u201d Riddle. After high school, she attended East Tennessee State University where she earned a Bachelor of Education. Pam and Sam married in January of 1966, and in May of 1969, they welcomed their only child, daughter Sammee. In the fall of 1969, Pam began her career in Riverdale, GA where she taught French, Spanish and English. In 1974, she and Sam returned to North Carolina where they both taught in Buncombe County. In the summer of 1981, they moved back to Georgia and continued their careers in education with the Fayette County School System.<\/p>\n<p>Pam earned a Master\u2019s degree from Western Carolina University, a Specialist degree from West Georgia College, and a Doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University. During her time with the Fayette County School System, she was a high-school foreign language teacher, a high-school assistant principal, an elementary principal, and Assistant Superintendent of Education. She retired in 2005 after 36 years in education.<\/p>\n<p>Pam was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who gave those around her the gift of unconditional love, guidance, and support.
