Raleigh, North Carolina – Linda Sue Caldwell, 70, died peacefully March 14, 2025, at WakeMed Raleigh with family by her side.<\/p>\n
Born July 9, 1954, in Raleigh to the late Harry A. Caldwell and Dorothy (Dozier) Caldwell, Linda graduated from Broughton High School before attending NC State and Western Carolina University graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked 40+ years as an OR nurse at Wake Medical Center and Duke Raleigh Hospital and was a respected member of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN).<\/p>\n
Linda was a devout Christian who served the Lord throughout her life. She attended Tabernacle Baptist Church, First Assembly of God, and most recently North Haven Church. She served on summer staff at Fort Caswell as a teen and cherished returning for alumni reunions each year. Linda loved to travel, finding special joy in visits to the Outer Banks.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her cat Patches; sister Peggy C. Jones; niece Nicolle Jones; nephew Bart Jones, wife LaDonna and their children Ayden, Kylee, and Landen; nephew Brett Jones, wife Ashley (Kerman, CA) and their children Ella, Emma, and Elana.
