She graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Child Development and Psychology. She worked as a therapeutic parent for over 12 years. She enjoyed being outdoors and planting her flowers or just working in her garden. Reading a good book was another one of her past times; but her favorite book was the Bible. Gladys taught many Sunday School classes, and she also preached from time to time. Also serving as the church clerk at Burningtown Church of God for many years.
