Reynolds High School in Asheville, NC and Western Carolina University, where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.\u00a0 Phil retired after a 30 year career with the U.S. Forest Service.\u00a0 He had an avid interest in studying his family history and participated for many years in Civil War Reenactments in South Carolina.\u00a0 Phil loved his family, watching sunsets, and riding his ATV on the family property.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are his four brothers, Steve (Nancy), Bill (Beth), Kenny (Nancy), and Danny Bailey (Tonja); his beloved aunt, Frances Vaughan; a close cousin, Janet (Levine) and multiple nephews, nieces, and cousins.<br \/>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=&#8221;1&#8243; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221;][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;][et_pb_column _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; type=&#8221;4_4&#8243; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;][et_pb_button _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; button_url=&#8221;https:\/\/www.holcombefuneralhomes.com\/obituary\/Phillip-Bailey&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;][\/et_pb_button][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Phillip &#8220;Phil&#8221; M.
