Sheila was at her home in Cullowhee when she simply lost consciousness and never woke up.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p class=\"p3\">Sheila graduated from Western Carolina University in 1980 with a BS in Psychology and worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for many years then began a house cleaning service where she was known for her thoroughness and her honesty.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p class=\"p3\">Sheila lived her life according to her Christian values. After retiring, she spent the rest of her life serving others in many capacities. She was a helping hand to anyone in need, and her gentle loving spirit touched countless lives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p class=\"p3\">Her family is comforted by the fact that Sheila now rests peacefully in the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p class=\"p3\">Sheila is survived by three children: Donnie Shields, of Fort Mills, S.C., Tina Shields of Cullowhee, N.C. and Angel Simonds (Roger) of Franklin, N.C.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p class=\"p3\">She is survived by eight grandchildren: Ashley Conti (Mike) of Rock Hill, S.C., Jackson Simonds of Leola, S.D., Camille Simonds, Naomi Simonds, and Julia Simonds, of Wilmington, N.C., and Callie Simonds, Bess Simonds and Sarah Simonds, of Franklin, N.C. plus one great grandchild, Delina Conti of Rock Hill, S.C.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p class=\"p3\">Sheila is also survived by three sisters: Linda Martin, of Mill Springs, N.C., Jon Foster (Galen) of Voca, T.X., Rebecca Walker of Fernandina Beach, F.L., and Karen Mills (George) of Rutherfordton, N.C.. She is survived by one brother, Mark Walker (Kathleen) of Fernandina Beach, F.L.
