She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and passionate member of the Sylva community.<span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Linda\u2019s life was filled with the world of music and unwavering love for those around her.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Born on Nov. 8, 1938 in Sylva, Linda\u2019s academic journey led her to graduate from Western Carolina University with an impressive trio of Bachelor\u2019s degrees in Music, Psychology and Social Work.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Before marrying her cherished husband, \u201cJack,\u201d she also pursued her passion for music with a brief tenure at Juilliard in New York.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Linda was a dedicated student of the Bible and religious studies, as well as holistic health. As a committed member of the United Methodist Church in Sylva, she graced the choir with her beautiful voice. Her musical talents extended to the Western Carolina University Community Chorus, where she sang with joy for many years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Linda is survived by her loving husband, John H. Morris Jr., and her two sons, Robert and David Morris, as well as her daughter-in-law, Sherry, and her twin grandchildren Gabriel and Gwendolyn; also sister Barbara Butcher, and niece Eleanor Haddad, Lillian Willis and cousin Nancy DeBoard.
