She was a graduate of Shelby High School and Western Carolina University. Lorraine was retired from Cleveland County School System as a substitute teacher. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Shelby, and the Joy Sunday School Class. Her pride and joy was her family whom she loved dearly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-body1 css-as8hyk css-9l3uo3\">In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Elaine M. Landreth.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-body1 css-as8hyk css-9l3uo3\">Lorraine is survived by her loving husband of fifty-three years John Sylvester Royster; son, Bryan Royster and wife Kirsten of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughter, Laura Bradley and husband Ben of Chapel Hill; sister, Carol Long of Greer, SC; two grandchildren, David Bradley of Raleigh and Justin Bradley of Rochester, NY.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-body1 css-as8hyk css-9l3uo3\">The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Shelby.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-body1 css-as8hyk css-9l3uo3\">A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Shelby with the Rev. Asher Panton officiating.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-body1 css-as8hyk css-9l3uo3\">Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fallston, NC.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-body1 css-as8hyk css-9l3uo3\">Memorials may be made to Joy Sunday School Class, First Baptist Church, 120 N.
