He was born on May 9, 1949, in Gaston County, son of the late James Earl Taylor and Helen Warlick Taylor. Doc dedicated his life to the service of others, notably as an educator in the Cleveland County School System, where he touched the lives of countless students and his colleagues.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"spelling-error\" data-suggestions=\"Dox,Doe,Dec\" data-start-of-replace=\"409\" data-end-of-replace=\"412\">Doc<\/span>\u00a0graduated from Western Carolina University, where he earned his Bachelor&#8217;s Degree, instilling a love for learning that would guide him throughout his life. After a fulfilling career in education, he retired from the Cleveland County School System, leaving behind a legacy of knowledge, compassion, and inspiration.<\/p>\n<p>In his personal life,\u00a0<span class=\"spelling-error\" data-suggestions=\"Dec,Dot\" data-start-of-replace=\"751\" data-end-of-replace=\"754\">Doc<\/span>\u00a0found joy in the simple pleasures. He was an avid fisherman, an enthusiastic golfer, and a devoted puzzle solver who cherished the serenity of walking in nature.
