BRYSON CITY – Keith Noil Maddox, 80, went to be with the Lord on Friday July 24, 2026.<\/p>\n
Born in Rebecca, GA, he was the son of the late, Webster Carter Maddox and Frances Keen Maddox.<\/p>\n
In additon, he was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Adams Maddox, sister-in-law Lacy Maddox and brother-in-law Jerry Luther Adams.<\/p>\n
He is survived by his children, Nathan and wife (Nancy) Maddox of Franklin and Tonia Maddox Edwards of Whittier; grandchildren, Savanna and Sarah Maddox of Franklin and Samuel Edwards of Whittier; brother Rodney Maddox of Wake Forest and his children, Maria, Marina and Cristina; great-nieces, Alympia and Lara all from Raleigh; sister-in-law, Kay LeQuire Adams of Creedmoor and her daughters and their families; niece, Connie Adams (Rodney) Boone and their daughters, great-nieces, Erin Casey Boone (Lee) Wyatt with one son, Bennett Boone Wyatt; great-niece, Renee Dawn (Dustin Walters) Boone; niece, Dawn Adams (Curry) Adcock and their children; great-niece, Kerri Adcock (Matt) Black and their children, Vera Grace (Kurt) Black, great-nephew, Stuart Lee (Harli Sam’s) Adcock with one son, Jerry Han Adcock all of Creedmoor; and friends too numerous to name, whom Keith loved and cherished as his “own\u201d<\/p>\n
He attended Almond Elementary and graduated from Swain County High School in 1964. Keith was a business owner in the Nantahala Gorge for many years. He was co-owner of Nantahala Rafts and Gorgarama Park, co-owner\/salesperson at Wesser Ruby Mine at the Florida State Fair and NC State Fair locations.<\/p>\n

And when the night is quiet, I\u2019ll think of you when I look at the stars.<\/p>\n
Each one will remind me that love like yours never fades, no matter how far.<\/p>\n
Pappaw, you may be out of sight, but you\u2019ll never be gone from my heart.<\/p>\n
Until we meet again beyond the mountains and sunsets, we’ll never truly be apart.<\/p>\n
There will be no service, per Keith’s wishes.<\/p>\n
