ModernThink closed the UNC System Employee Engagement survey on February 25. This survey is used by campuses across the UNC system to do strategic planning and respond to faculty and staff needs. ModernThink will compile the data and should release initial results in early May.
The final overall rate of 62% or 7% higher than the same survey in 2018. The faculty participation also increased from 41% to 55% (312 responses out of 568). This exceeded the target goal of 50%. As stated in a previous post, the Chancellor’s office is is committed to contributing $6,200 to both the Staff Senate Scholarship fund and the Faculty Senate Student Support fund for having attained the threshold of 50% ($5,000) and $100 for each additional percentage point above 50%). These funds make attending college accessible to many students and support students going to financial distress. I am very glad and thankful for all faculty and staff that stepped up to participate and help shape the direction of the University and support our students.
