WCU LMS Review
In the two decades of online involvement at Western Carolina, many facets of technology and technological engagement have evolved. In looking toward our mutual future, it is important that we work to ensure a safe, usable, and effective environment for online teaching and learning.
On-Campus Demonstrations were held for all vendors in February and March of 2020.
Why?
Blackboard Learn Original, our current learning management system, is reaching obsolescence. Our contract with Blackboard ends in 2021, so it is time to find our new LMS.
When?
We will be recommending a new LMS by October 1, 2020 and launching the migration process in January, 2021. We will be transitioned to our new LMS by May 31, 2021.
