The 58th Juried Undergraduate Exhibition<\/h1>\n

WCU Bardo Arts Center<\/h4>\n

Exhibition: February 17 – March 20, 2026
RECEPTION: Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 5-7 pm<\/h4>\n

Western Carolina University\u2019s Annual Juried Undergraduate Exhibition is one of the longest-running Catamount art traditions. This exhibition is an extraordinary opportunity for WCU undergraduate students to share their artwork with a larger public and to enhance their skills in presenting artwork in a professional gallery setting. Entries are reviewed by an outside art professional who selects the works for exhibition at the WCU Fine Art Museum. Selected works will be on view at the Museum from February 17 through March 20, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

An awards ceremony will be held at the WCU Fine Art Museum on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 PM.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Entries are reviewed by an outside art professional who selects the works for exhibition at the WCU Fine Art Museum. This year, the exhibition juror is Tracy Templeton. Tracy Templeton is an established artist, educator, writer, and curator who heads the Printmaking program at Indiana University. Her influential artwork employs photographically hybrid printmaking to explore themes of memory, place, and the phenomenology of time. Her extensive international practice includes over\u00a0150 exhibitions\u00a0globally and publication in over\u00a0a hundred books and journals, including\u00a0The Canadian Encyclopedia<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Printmaking Today<\/em>. As an artist-educator, Templeton has lectured extensively on her technique at prestigious institutions including Tokyo University of the Arts; the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland; and the Kansas City Art Institute. Templeton’s distinctions include an Honorary Mention at the Seoul Print Biennial and a third-place award in the Great Canadian Printmaking Competition. Her prints appear in nearly fifty public collections worldwide including London\u2019s Victoria and Albert Museum, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, and Tokyo Photographic Art Museum.<\/span><\/p>\n
