Please, direct questions to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:slslc@wcu.edu\">slslc@wcu.edu<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Conference Details<\/h3>\n<h4>The Vision<\/h4>\n<p class=\"p1\">To be the leading collegiate success conference for LatinX students in the southeast.<\/p>\n<h4>The Mission<\/h4>\n<p>To achieve our mission we will provide development\u00a0tools and skills through\u00a0the use of presentations, workshops and experiential activities.<\/p>\n<h4>The 2019 Theme<\/h4>\n<p>Maximizing\u00a0Nosotros: Empowering LatinX Students for Success.<\/p>\n<h4>Available Tracks<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Owning Our Values<\/li>\n<li>Challenging Ourselves<\/li>\n<li>Claiming Our Roots<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"parameters\">Presentation Parameters<\/h3>\n<h4>Who Should Submit a Proposal<\/h4>\n<p>We are calling for all Faculty, Student Affairs Professionals, State, and Local Government Employees, and all industry practitioners to submit proposals sharing thought-provoking presentations, interactive demonstrations, and engaging conversations.<\/p>\n<h4>Length of Presentations<\/h4>\n<p>All session should be designed to be 60 minutes in length with an additional 15 minutes provided for a question and answer period.<\/p>\n<h4>Audience<\/h4>\n<p>Conference participants include collegiate students from across the institutional spectrum of the southeastern United States. Presenters should consider how participants\u00a0will utilize the information to advance and engage their campus.<\/p>\n<h4>Presentation Scope<\/h4>\n<p>Presentations should be interactive, engaging and relevant to the learning outcomes of this conference. If the presentation focus is more appropriate\u00a0for a corporate or social agency, it will not be considered unless a clear connection to the collegiate experience is understood\u00a0by the Selection Committee.<\/p>\n<h4>Proposal Criteria<\/h4>\n<p>Proposals should supplement and enhance the conference theme, <em>Maximizing Nosotros: Empowering LatinX Students for Success<\/em>, and fit into one of three tracks: Owning Our Values, Challenging Ourselves, Claiming Our Roots. Proposals may be submitted by individuals or groups\u2019 of students, faculty, staff and community members.<\/p>\n<h4>Presentation Policy<\/h4>\n<p class=\"p1\">Presenters are responsible for providing all handouts. Conference proceedings will be made available to all participants after the conference.
