{"id":10409,"date":"2020-09-30T15:35:01","date_gmt":"2020-09-30T15:35:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/affiliate.wcu.edu\/staffsenate\/?p=10409"},"modified":"2025-08-03T10:06:47","modified_gmt":"2025-08-03T14:06:47","slug":"wcu-works-faculty-and-staff-receive-wcu-works-certification","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/affiliate.wcu.edu\/staffsenate\/2020\/09\/30\/wcu-works-faculty-and-staff-receive-wcu-works-certification\/","title":{"rendered":"WCU Works Faculty and Staff Receive WCU Works Certification"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Faculty and Staff Receive WCU Works Certification<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The University congratulates the graduates of the 2018-2020 WCU Works program (see the graduate list below)!\u00a0 WCU Works participants have spent the past two years learning powerful skills important in work and in life.\u00a0 Each graduate has completed at least 40 contact hours in professional development, some in upwards of 100 hours, over a two-year period.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of WCU Works is to help the participant develop the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful and productive in their endeavors, including the professional and the personal. The program subscribes to the premise that supportive development promotes professional engagement as well as exciting new perspectives about participants\u2019 chosen roles.<\/p>\n<p>In a post-program survey, participants reported a significant positive impact in key indicators of personal and professional effectiveness. According to one graduate, \u201cWCU Works has improved my overall contributions to discussions and has made me a more inspired member of the WCU community.
