According to Thomas Edison, you have what it takes!<\/strong><\/p>\n

This wise man is credited with saying, \u201cThe three great essentials to achieve anything worthwhile are, first, hard work; second, stick\u2010to\u2010itiveness; third, common sense.\u201d<\/p>\n

As we look around campus, we can see your hard work \u2013 from the tangible to the intangible. You exemplify common sense because you chose Western Carolina University.<\/p>\n

As for your stick-to-itiveness, that is what we are celebrating this month!<\/p>\n

Although we were unable to celebrate in person this year, we appreciate our campus representatives for taking the time to send out a special message. Most of all, to our honorees, THANK YOU for sharing your best self with Western Carolina University and your Catamount family!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please take a moment to hear a special word from Ben Pendry, Staff Senate Chair<\/a><\/strong>, as we continue to celebrate the employees who hit a 5-year increment employment milestone with WCU and the State of North Carolina during the July 2019 \u2013 June 2020 fiscal year. So, if you have hit your employment milestone, use this month to celebrate yourself. Take time to reflect with admiration on your accomplishments and take time to look forward with anticipation!<\/p>\n
