Quick\u00a0headsup\u00a0for anyone thinking about attending a conference, taking a workshop, or jumping into a new training opportunity this year:\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">there\u2019s\u00a0less than $3,000 left<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0in the Staff Senate Professional Development Fund. If\u00a0you\u2019ve\u00a0been planning to apply,\u00a0now\u2019s\u00a0the time to go for it.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">What the Fund Covers<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Professional Development Fund was created to help staff access meaningful growth opportunities when departmental budgets might not stretch far enough. Eligible activities include things like workshops, seminars, conferences, trainings, and certificate programs,\u00a0plus related travel when it meets WCU guidelines.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Awards are available\u00a0for\u00a0up to\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">$500 for individuals<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">$750 for departments<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0each fiscal year. Applications just need to show how the opportunity supports your current role or career goals and how it\u00a0benefits\u00a0your department and WCU.
