Join fellow elementary educators for a collaborative three-session book study, co-facilitated by NC DPI and our WNC Elementary Science/STEM Community of Practice, exploring Rise and Thrive with Science, a practical and inspiring guide to strengthening science and engineering teaching and learning in K–5 classrooms.  Together, we’ll reflect on key strategies, share best practices, and consider how to apply ideas directly to our teaching. The book is available to read FREE online. Certificate of attendance (CEU) provided by DPI upon completion.  An information session will be held on 10/29/25 from 4:00-4:30.  Book study meetings will take place on 11/19/25, 1/28/26, and 3/25/26 from 3:30-5:00pm.  Select Register for more information.

Please share with K-5 educators!  If you have questions, please contact Dr. Patricia Bricker at bricker@wcu.edu.
