The North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission held their 2024 Conflict Resolution Day on Thursday, October 17, 2024. NCAMP/FARM-VA Mediation Director, Bob Holbert, was an invited speaker for the event. Bob presented a slide show on the origin, operation, and services of the agricultural mediation programs. He discussed these elements and fielded questions from the participants. The principal portion of the event was a panel discussion by the “Mediators of the Round Table”. The program was very informative touching on important mediation topics including: unannounced persons attending mediations, mediators acting as scribner for mediation agreements, conflicts of interest, known misrepresentation of facts in a mediation, and other pertinent issues.
