The 2025 North Carolina Agri-Tourism Conference was held on February 24-25 at the North Raleigh Hilton in Raleigh, NC. Monday the 24th included a farm tour of 5 outstanding agri-tourism enterprises in the Wake County area. On Tuesday, nine different speakers gave presentations of interest to agri-tourism farm families. Among the speakers was NCAMP/FARM-VA’s Advisory Committee Member, Andrew Branan. Professor Branan gave several updates pertinent to farm enterprises. His topics included The NC Farm Act, liability concerning farm visitors, Warning Signs, and Zoning. Andrew is Associate Extension Professor with the Agricultural Land Resource Economics Department in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, at NC State University.
Bob Holbert, NCAMP/FARM-VA Mediation Director was also among those presenting on Tuesday. He informed the attendees of NCAMP’s services and the grour had a larger discussion of mediation and succession planning.
