Call for Proposals

The Coulter Faculty Commons (CFC) invites faculty and staff to submit proposals for this year’s Summer Institute for Teaching and Learning.

Under the theme “River Valleys to Mountain Peaks: Expanding Our Teaching Horizons”, we welcome proposals that showcase effective practices, fresh ideas, and reflective teaching stories that support student success. Help us explore the evolving landscape of teaching and learning at WCU.

 

Call for Proposals: Submission Guidelines

Submit your proposal for a 45 minutes, dynamic presentation, panel, or interactive workshop, via this Qualtrics form. While not required, we do encourage you to link to our mountain theme in your title, proposal, and session.

Proposals should include:

  • Presenter(s) name(s) and contact information
  • Title
  • Brief list of strategies to engage audience
  • Abstract (250-300 words), including:
    • Outline of the topic
    • Relevance to teaching & learning
    • 2-3 key takeaways
  • Short presenter biography (100 word maximum, will be included on program)
  • Headshot
