Jo A. Schilling
Jo is survived by a nephew, James E. (Tripp) Schilling, and wife, Betsy, of Chattanooga, TN, and a niece, Cheryl Anderson, of Martinsville, VA.
Jo lived a full and enjoyable life. She held a bachelor’s degree from the University of South
Carolina, a master’s degree in education from Western Carolina University, and an Educational Specialist
Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Appalachian State University. Jo was a Radiological Technician for 16 years before she began to teach. She taught radiography at Greenville Tech in Greenville, SC for five years. Jo retired from Cleveland Community College after teaching many radiological students for 22 years. During her career, she was a member and officer for the Virginia Society of Radiologic Technologists, and she often lectured at Radiologic Technologist seminars. Jo was an avid traveler and photographer. She traveled to six continents and over fifty countries. An exhibit of her travel photographs was on display at Cleveland Community College. Jo often said, “What a charmed and lucky life I have with wonderful friends, excellent neighbors, and a caring niece and nephew.” Jo blessed each life she touched and will be dearly missed.
