WCJ

The Western Carolina Journalist, WCJ,  is the news website of the Department of Communication at Western Carolina University and was established in the fall of 2010. The site is a part of the curriculum of the department, but day-to-day content and operation decisions are made by a student staff appointed by the faculty. WCJ explores the developing and expanding world of online journalism without any traditions – except for the tradition of the practice of good journalism. It is committed to providing news and information to the community and Western Carolina University; to be an outlet for expression of different opinions and views; and to be a place where people can debate, discuss problems, and issues, and seek solutions.
