WCU Communication Department faculty and students ran a homecoming alumni live remote on Nov. 2, outside the Center for Applied Technology.
The live remote was designed to promote homecoming and WCU’s radio station, 95.3 WWCU, through interviews with alumni about their time at WCU, where they are now and how things have changed.
For professor Donald Connelly, key moments came from intervieing alumni.
“One alum graduated in 1980, another was a city manager of Hendersonville, NC and one worked at the radio station in 1987,” said Connelly.
The simulcast served the surrounding region and allowed alumni to share their stories and thoughts.
95.3 WWCU’s student general manager Deanna Sipe and student program coordinator Stewart Butler ran the live remote with in-studio producers Anthony Fowler and Aurora Stuart.
The live remote ran from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with interviews occurring every ten minutes.
