The Department of Communication hosted its second annual Student Showcase on Thursday, May 8, highlighting outstanding student work across all concentration areas.
The event gave students the opportunity to display top projects from the past academic year, including work completed in partnership with local organizations, conference presentations, and creative campaigns.
Students and faculty worked closely to organize the event. Among them was Professor Debra Connelly, who collaborated with Dr. Betty Farmer to design alumni posters highlighting graduate achievements.
“The work is a perfect addition to portfolios as students look for their first jobs,” said Connelly.
The showcase highlights student achievements and alumni spotlights, giving attendees a look at the skills students have developed. Many of the featured projects will enhance student portfolios as they prepare to enter the job market.
The department recognized one outstanding student from each concentration with an achievement award and also honored distinguished alumni for their accomplishments.
The team also coordinated logistics and worked alongside student workers to manage event outreach and communications.
