Tuesday, Dec. 2, is Giving Tuesday, a day when community members and supporters pledge donations to help expand programs and student opportunities nationwide.
Donations to the Department of Communication provide students with opportunities to attend conferences, network and develop skills for their career.
Even contributions that allow the department to buy pizzas and coffee help attract more students and gain involvement. These acts add to the environment and professional opportunities the department aims to offer.
This year, the communication department has been able to send students to conferences for the Society of Professional Journalists and the Public Relations Society of America in Washington, D.C. As well as students and professors, to broadcasting conferences. They have also provided snacks for students at Advising Day and opened new classes and opportunities for certifications from generous donations.
Join us this Giving Tuesday, to end the 2025 providing more opportunities for students.
