New Faculty Orientation
Whether you are new to teaching in higher education or are an experienced instructor new to Western Carolina University, please join us for the 2022 New Faculty Orientation week. You will receive a formal invitation letter from Provost Richard Starnes, but here is an overview of the event.
2022 NFO At – A – Glance
There are two portions to the week-long orientation:
- NFO Online, (in Canvas) which is filled with useful information and introduction to many of the departments and units across campus and at the Biltmore Park Instructional Site. There are required modules that you must complete by August 15th and optional modules. You will also find a checklist that guides you in many of the practical actions you need to complete, such as getting your parking pass and CatCard. Opens August 1st and you will receive an email when you are enrolled.
- NFO Live! August 11 & 12th. In person orientation including welcomes from Chancellor Brown and Provost Starnes, fun, food and games, and interactive sessions with the departments that will ensure you have a good start at WCU.
