WCU’s Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning (CCESL) provides support for faculty interested in the practice of community-engaged learning and coordinates the designation process for Service-Learning Courses (SLC) and Community Experience Courses (CEC).

The Designation Deadlines are:
- October 1-6, 2026, for Spring 2027 courses
- February 15, 2027, for Summer & Fall 2027 courses
