Summary of Novel:

Shiloh

Shiloh is an abused beagle that runs away from his mean owner. He meets a boy named Marty Preston and follows him home. The boy likes the dog and names him Shiloh. His dad won’t let him keep the dog because it belongs to  a hunter named Judd Travers. After Shiloh is abused again, he runs away again and comes back to Marty. Because he knows his dad will make him take Shiloh back to Judd, he makes a home for the dog in an old shed up the hill from his house and hides him from his family. The secret is out when a big dog attacks Shiloh one night and he has to ask his dad for help. They help the dog but he has to take him back to Judd Travers again.  This time Marty sees Judd shoot a deer out of season and he makes a deal with Judd to get to keep Shiloh. Judd is dishonest and goes back on the deal. Marty keeps trying and finally gets to keep Shiloh.
