Clear Creek Elementary- A Long Walk To Water by LInda sue park

Summary- Long Walk To Water is about a boy named Salva Dut who went though a terrible time at such a young age, traveling to escape the war. He traveled through blistering heat with almost no water, while being separated from his family. Salva had to fight for his life to get to a safe haven. The water he did have access to was dirty. He made it all the way to America and is still alive today. The book also tells the story of Nya who also was going through a time, she had to walk 8 miles every day to go get water for her family and the water that she did get was not even clean water.

Project- We portrayed Ellen and Salva Dut and Salva goes on the Ellen Show for an interview where Salva stated the two main problems in South Sudan. Those two problems were dirty water and lack of water. Our soluation to these main probl The Water for South Sudan Foundation created by Salva Dut. The money that goes to the foundation will go to building wells for people in South Sudan who do not have clean water .
