Book Summary:
The Boy In The Striped Pajamas by John Boyne
First, Bruno knows nothing of the Final Solution and the Holocaust. Next, he is oblivious to others being cruel to him because people from his country are German. All he knows is that he is moving to an unfun place. Then, he meets Shmuel a boy who lives a strange life on the other side of the wire fence. There are others who wear a striped uniform. They meet up everyday to talk, but some days Shumel can’t make it. Finally, Bruno gets too worried about Shumel and goes in the facility. He finally finds Shumel, and they have wonderful times together. After that, the guards escort the children to an unknown room. Then, Shumel holds Bruno’s hand. What happens next?
Invention Explanation:
Caroline & Makhia,
Excellent job describing the invention. That book was so good. I hope you enjoyed reading it. I like the idea of a contraption that could deliver information back and forth. Good work.

Nice idea for these boys to be able to talk secretly with each other. Isn’t it a shame that they even need such an invention?
