Hatchet Summary

This book is about a 13 year old boy named Bryan Roberson who is own his way to see his dad in Canada when all of a sudden the pilot has a heart attack and Bryan is forced to land the plane in the lake once it ran out of gas. He was now all alone in the wilderness with only his resources to survive and a hatchet. He built a shelter to keep him safe. He was very hungry so he ate some berries but they made him very sick but while he was picking the berries he managed to stay safe from a bear. He had a porcupine come in his shelter so Bryan throw a hatchet at the animal but he just shot his quills at him causing horrible pain. A plane flew by but didn’t see Bryan. He started to feel hopeless and tried to commit suicide by cutting himself with his hatchet but survives and decided to try to live.He did get attacked by a moose and got hurt.Sadly after the moose attack a tornado hit and knocked his shelter over but it made the tail of the plane come up making Bryan remember the pilot so Bryan says some word words in honor of the pilot.Then he decided to build a raft to get the survival pack out of the witch is in the middle of the lake.He gets it the dicids to open it the next day he sees a lot of useful items first he sees a emergency transmitter but it doesn’t work so he eats some freeze dried food and as he’s eating a plane lands on the lake and takes him home.

Holes Summary
This book called holes is about a boy named Stanley Yelants who stole a famous baseball players cleats so his dad could do a experiment on them. But Stanley didn’t know they were a famous person’s cleat that were donated to a homeless shelter to raise money and really he loved that baseball player a lot it was truly an accident. The reason he thinks this happened is because his dirty old rotten pig stealing great great grandfather.He thinks this because he stole a pig so the person he stole the pig from put a curse on him and all his family. So the judge gave him a choice to go to camp green lake or jail he choose camp green lake.It’s hard for him to dig the holes at first and he’s not friends with anyone but as he’s there longer he becomes friends with more people.Then one day Stanley starts digging a hole and finds a lipstick tube then after 1 week of being gone from camp green lake to save zero (witch is one of his friends) he diced to look back in the hole were he found the lipstick tube.There Stanley and zero find a suitcase that says Stanley Yelnats the warden tries to take it but Stanley’s lawyer shows up says it is his and that Stanley and Zero get to leave camp.
