“A Long Walk To Water”

We were asked to write a summary of “A Long Walk To Water” and create an object/vehicle to solve the main problem in the story, we’ll start with the summary first.

Summary

In the beginning, Nya, one of the characters in the story, would carry large jugs to get water and bring it back home. Meanwhile Salva, another character, was lost following random groups of people in the great war of South Sudan.

In the middle, it’s explained that Nya’s tribe goes to a lake during the dry season to fetch water, although the water is filthy. Since Nya is fetching water all day she doesn’t have time for school or anything else. Although Salva had to go with a group and was facing many tribulations. including losing the only family member he had found.

In conclusion, a well is built for Nya and her tribe so they can get water easily and fast. Salva had built the well and gotten adopted.
So overall, it was a happy ending.

We are doing challenge 3. The problem we are solving is that there is a lack of water in the country of Sudan, to solve this problem we created the brand S@fe Wtr. We made 2 water filter/holding cups and a transport truck.Let’s start with the cups, first is the EPA ( easy pocket access ). You place the EPA in your pocket, with water in it, and simply grab the tube and drink clean water that you can get from the WFC ( water filter cup ). The WFC does basically it’s name, filter water. So together you get clean easily accessible water!

Now the TPT ( transport truck ) drives to a nearby stream, lake, pond etc. equipped with large jugs, batteries, a water filter and extra tires. The TPT uses solar energy, and it can hold up to 4 jugs although 3 jugs are reccommended.
