Staff Senate will be doing a “Meet the Senator” series this academic year, letting all staff know who their Staff Senators are. In the spotlight this week is Emily Giarette. You might know Emily from her previous job in the Technology Commons. She is now the Content Management System Coordinator for University Marketing and this is her first year in Staff Senate. When Emily was asked “Why Western?” She responded with “I love the area and community here at WCU.” Her favorite part of her job is the people that she works with and being able to help others learn how to edit their WCU webpages. Emily loves having hobbies that involve collecting things and learning new things. If you see Emily on campus, be sure to congratulate her on her new position and on being on Staff Senate.
