How long have you been working at WCU/Human Resources: I have been working in Human Resources at WCU for 4.5 years.
Why did you choose Human Resources as a career: I enjoy problem solving, a variety of work, and the opportunity to constantly learn something new. Working in Human Resources allows for all of this, so it was the perfect fit for me.
What is your role in human resources: I am an Human Resources Specialist on the Data Team. Primarily, I process all monthly actions that come through our office for faculty and staff. This includes extra compensations, promotions, horizontal transfers, longevity payments and legislative increases.
What do you like most about working at WCU: I love working in higher education because of the impact it has in shaping the lives of students. I feel fortunate to live and work in such a beautiful place and couldn’t ask for better colleagues or work environment.
