The UNC System shared that the Headspace (formerly Ginger) benefit will no longer be offered after September 30, 2025. However, they continue to be committed to ensuring employees have access to meaningful mental health support. This will result in the expansion of the confidential, no-cost resources available through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with ComPsych.
In addition to continuing to offer confidential counseling, online resources, and referrals for things like mental health and wellbeing, child/elder care and home repair, our EAP provider (ComPsych) will provide new coaching and digital self-care tools. Both traditional and enhanced EAP services are available to all university faculty and staff.
Beginning October 1, 2025, WCU employees will have access to well-being coaching and a new app-based platform called Koa Care 360 through EAP/ComPsych.
