Staff Senate will be doing a “Meet the Senator” series this academic year, letting all staff know who their Staff Senators are. In the spotlight this week is Adam Ray. Adam is the Associate Director of Employer Engagement in the Center for Career and Professional Development. This is his second year on Staff Senate as a Senator. Adam states that “Western offers a community that is supportive through collaboration and encourages learning and growth in many formats. My time as both a student as well as an employee speak to this and I am energized by the work I do for this university.” His favorite part of his job is being able to work collaboratively with professionals from many different departments and programs. Adam is an avid runner and thoroughly enjoys any chance he gets to run in this beautiful region of North Carolina. He has completed over a thousand miles running on this campus and looks forward to many more. We are so glad to have Adam on Staff Senate!
